Assists all members of staff with official transport tasks, including driving of staff, delivery of correspondence, transportation of supplies and equipment, etc.
Drives WB vehicles according to the highest standards of road safety, safe driving, and consideration for other road users; adhere strictly to traffic rules and regulations.
Keeps vehicle Logbook with a record of the mileage of each journey, the amount of fuel filled, and maintenance carried out, for the vehicle assigned.
Takes responsibility for the daily maintenance of the vehicle(s), according to the manufacturer’s instructions manual and ensures vehicle cleanliness, both interior and exterior.
Reports all defects in the vehicle immediately. With the Resource Management Department coordinates arrangements for servicing, cleaning, ordering spare parts and other aspects of vehicle maintenance, in due time.
Performs other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Required
High school or equivalent diploma or comparable experience, literate and having strong command of Azerbaijani and English languages (the Russian language will be an additional advantage)
Computer literate and able to use relevant technologies, including GPS, hands-free technologies, email, and basic office software
Be at least 28 and not older than 55 years of age
Be able to effectively understand and carry out rules, orders, and instructions.
Possess sound physical, stamina and health to perform duties*
Be healthy and free from all communicable diseases
Be able to travel with overnight stays if needed

Driver must have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience as a chauffeur (experience in international organization/development agencies will be an advantage) with a clean driving record; International Certificate of Safe Driver would be an advantage;
Driver must have good knowledge of Baku roads and the location of key Government offices;
Driver must be licensed by the appropriate Governmental entity to operate the class of motor vehicle that he/she will be driving under the terms of the contract, with certification of good driving record or equivalent reference check;
Driver must have sufficient proficiency in English to communicate with English-speaking staff;
Driver must have sufficient proficiency with computers and communication and navigation instruments. The selected candidate must have sufficient computer skills to claim his/her payments through the WBG request system and to take all mandatory online WBG trainings;
Driver must receive clearance pursuant to WBG Procedure “Drivers’ Medical Clearance”; and
Prior to hiring or assignment, a driver must demonstrate a history of safe vehicle operation by providing private or public driving records indicating no at-fault Road Traffic Crashes within the past five years. Additionally, professional references will be checked.
Driver must fully comply with the WBG rules for drivers.
