- Ensure proper HSE documentation and compliance reportir
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote a proactive safe culture.
- Review and verify contractor HSE documents (e.g. HSE plan, Emergency Response Plai ERP), Medevac and others) to ensure compliance with Company HSE standards, Project HS requirements, and local regulatory frameworks during the Project mobilization and operations phase.
- Prepare specific HSE documents required for the Project to support safe Project operations.
- : Ensure alignment of Project HSE requirements during project preparation by coordinating with
- the main drilling contractor and subcontractors, conducting inspections and audits, and verifying contractor HSE documentation.
- Ensure all equipment and operations are in full compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate HSE meetings with the drilling contractor and subcontractors to align Project HSE requirements and expectations within the Project Scope
- Provide technical HSE leadership and guidance to operations teams ensuring ongoing alignment of Project HSE requirements among Contractors and project teams to achieve zero-harm objectives.
- Lead HSE audits and inspections of drilling rigs, equipment, and high-risk activities (e.g., well control, lifting operations) to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Provide regular HSE updates to Project Management, integrating technical input into project planning and execution.
- Support the Drilling and Completion team by providing HSE expertise, risk management guidance, and technical solutions for Project operational challenges.
- Coordinate with project management and the drilling contractors, and subcontractors to ensure
- HSE requirements are fully integrated into project activities.
- Managed risk assessments, Hazard Identification (HAZID), and Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to mitigate drilling-specific hazards, ensuring contractor input is incorporated.
- Review and implement safety controls (e.g., safety and emergency equipment, barrier systems) for high-risk operations drilling operations like well control, pressure testing etc
- Maintain and review HSE report, ensuring compliance with Company and regulatory standards, incorporating contractor-specific records.
- Lead investigation and prepare detailed incident reports for review
- Oversee compliance with safe systems of work, ensuring all contractors adhere to Project HSE requirements.
- Analyze Contractor HSE performance data, preparing weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Respond to and manage emergencies, coordinating with contractor emergency response teams
- Monitor drilling operations to verify adherence to HSE standards and safe work practices by all contractors.
Xüsusi tələblər
- Minimum 8 years of HSE experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in drilling operations, preferably for HP gas wells exploration or appraisal wells.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or Safety Engineering) or a related field; additional certifications in HSE or drilling operations.
- Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH IDip, IGC and IWCF Level 1) is highly desirable
- In-depth knowledge of drilling operations, well control (Level 1), pressure management, and HSE risk management.
- Familiarity with international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and local regulatory frameworks applicable to drilling operation.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple contractor teams.
- Strong leadership and communication skills influence safety behaviors and foster alignment across diverse contractor and project teams.
- Willingness to work in a demanding offshore environment, including exposure to harsh weather conditions and extended periods away from shore.
- Physical ability to perform on-site inspections and participate in emergency response actions when needed.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English languages (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
