Oversee daily operations of the engineering and maintenance department
Ensure all hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, etc.) operate efficiently
Implement preventive maintenance programs
Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and health standards
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
Maintain emergency systems and procedures
Prepare and manage the engineering department budget
Control expenses and optimize resource usage
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for cost-effective services
Plan and oversee renovations, upgrades, and capital projects
Coordinate with contractors and ensure projects are completed on time
Respond promptly to maintenance-related guest complaints
Ensure minimal disruption to guests during repairs
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Prepare reports for hotel management
Supervise, train, and schedule engineering staff
Assign tasks and monitor performance
Ensure proper staffing levels and productivity

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
Proven experience in hotel engineering or facility management (typically 5–10+ years)
Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
Leadership and team management skills
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
Problem-solving and troubleshooting
Leadership and communication
Time management and organization
Technical expertise in multiple systems
Budgeting and cost control
