Several specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Carry out inspections of workplaces and take appropriate action to ensure compliance.
Respond to and investigate complaints and concerns from workers/employers and take appropriate action.
Investigate accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.
Responsible for the establishment of workplace safety and health committees, and monitor their performance.
Conducts emergency response drills/exercises and prepare the Emergency Response Report with the Action Plan.
Interface with subcontractors and various other entities involved in the project ensuring that HSE commitments made are appropriate, correctly documented and met as required by the contract.
Participate in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminate information to the public.
Assist in the training and/or supervision of new Inspectors.
Prepare various reports, documents and forms.
May supervise subordinate staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE and Fire.
Acceptable technical training in the field of occupational safety and health or related area.
Working knowledge of the Azerbaijan regulation and International standards.
Knowledge of enforcement procedures. Ability to maintain effective work relationships.
Good organizational skills. Good oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the interface between employees and management in the workplace.
Knowledge of industrial hygiene survey techniques.
Good supervisory skills.
Minimum of five years' experience in the occupational safety and health field.
