- Our ideal candidate will enjoy team working, will be customer and quality focused, can use their own initiative and will be responsive to our business and client needs. You should also enjoy coaching and mentoring others.\
- We’d like you to have a HND in a relevant subject and previous experience in detail design with an awareness of other disciplines. You need to be competent and have an interest in working with AutoDesk design products.
- There will be the opportunity to work in other locations, both on and offshore so candidates may need you to travel and hold the relevant certification to do so.

- Relevant technical background, knowledge of CAD drafting techniques and full understanding of materials and methods normally used within the Instrument discipline
- Previous experience / knowledge of BP Caspian Sea assets, procedures and software is seen as an advantage
- Willingness to attend site (offshore Caspian Sea) would be seen as advantageous
- Plan and develop detailed design drawing / document packages from offshore reports
- Produce cost-effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
- Preparation / checking of Block Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Cable Schedules. Hydraulic / Pneumatic / Process Hook-ups, Bill of Materials etc.
- Review and signature check of drawings and documents generated by other Designers
- Proficient in use of AutoCad and MS Office products
- Computer literate (Data base / Tag Data Tool Spreadsheets)
- Able to interpret, review and comment on P&IDs
- Ability to address operational and maintenance issued in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
- Respond to site / engineering queries
- Progress reporting
- Coaching and mentoring of less experienced Designers as required
- Consult with and take direction from assigned Instrument Engineers
- Attend Project meetings as required / requested, etc.
