The primary focus of this role is to lead, manage and coordinate the OPG and Client vessel team,
to lead and manage the Client vessel support team to safely deliver the offshore execution programs in line with the requirements in the Contract,
to support the project director in the safe delivery of the agreed commercial outcome.
Working with the relevant functional leaders to develop the OPG staff capability within the Client vessel support team to ensure key client interfaces are developed and maintained
to promote OPG technology and actively seek out Regional opportunities for the wider Oceaneering group
Functions HSEEnsure that the OPG and Project HSE safety policies and procedures are fully understood and effectively implemented by the Client vessel support team
Conduct regular visits to onshore and offshore worksites, and provide direction, coaching and feedback to the team
LeadershipProvide guidance and support to the Client vessel support team t o ensure the project HSE, quality, technical, and financial, requirements defined in the Contract are achieved
Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with the Client stakeholders
Scope ManagementEnsure essential project processes to ensure delivery of HSE, technical and quality standards in line with the Contract requirements, are effectively implemented.
Act as the integrator and owner of the Client offshore work program, developing, implementing and maintaining systems to track and actively manage the equipment, documentation and personnel required to safely execute the work offshore.
Accountable for the detailed readiness to execute, and
confirmation that the execution procedures, drawings, readiness reviews, SIMOPS reviews and permits are in place and agreed with the Client in a timeframe which supports the offshore execution program.
coordinate the efforts of the Service Excellence personnel in the verification of system readiness, configurations, specifications, and certifications.
Accountable for the day-to-day management and the safe execution of work program
Support, direct and coordinate the team leaders/managers in the Client Vessel support team who are accountable for the execution of each element of the work, in support of safe execution of the work program
Cost and Commercial
Develop a detailed understanding of the contract,
Proactive identification and communication within the project team of technical and/or Client vessel execution issues which may have a cost or schedule impact
Responsible for the Client vessel budget and spend, and the provision of accurate data which will allow accurate forecasting and reporting in line with the Client and Oceaneering requirements, including the p reparation of project reports, forecasts, variance explanations and other financial or technical reports as required by management, clients or other stakeholders.
Oversee the g enerat ion of requisitions and review / approve requisite supplier invoices which relate to offshore operations.
Review and approve project invoices and assist in accounts receivable issues with Customers .
Team Maintenance and DevelopmentDevelop, implement, and maintain Client vessel support team which is capable of safely executing the work to the necessary standards, to accomplish the agreed business objectives and adjusting the team as needs change.
Work with functional leads in personnel evaluations, assignment and improvement opportunities.
Support OPG staff within the Client vessel support team in their career development and within the wider OPG organization

Degree in Engineering or Science (e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Offshore Engineering)
Chartered Engineer or PE
Formal Project management qualification
Prior experience working Internationally
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics
Extensive industry experience which must include experience within a project leadership position
Specific experience in the management and execution of integrated vessel programs
A working knowledge of subsea construction and installation techniques, IRM and Light well intervention
An awareness of saturation and air diving techniques and practices
A working knowledge of project planning principles and budget control systems
Strong written and interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence others in a collaborative and non-confrontational manner
A proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Experience of working in a functional organisation and an established track record of managing multicultural teams and in the coaching and development of staff
