- Acts as subject matter expert within drafting. Prepares detailed story-board drawings, schematics, layouts, deck layouts, general arrangements, P&ID and related CAD data for complex technical assignments with complete autonomy.
- Prepares 2D/ 3D CAD data and detailed design/manufacturing/weldment/assembly/general arrangement drawings, hydraulic/electrical schematics, layouts, general arrangements and P&IDs.
- Execute the assigned projects within required key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Demonstrates proficiency in application of drafting and engineering symbols for tolerance, surface finish, fasteners, screw threads, welded joints and hydraulics.
- Expert knowledge of drafting and other standards governing tolerance, welding, surface finish, hydraulics symbols.
- Expert knowledge of CAD software tool in the area of application, i.e. modeling, assembly, drawing, weldment, etc. Intermediate/SME level knowledge to the design life cycle management software i.e. Enovia or EPDM.
- Own the project, monitor and report project progress against plan and forecasted schedule.
- Prepares simple technical documents, i.e. procedures, guidelines, etc.
- Checks the drawings for compliance with the relevant industry codes / company guidelines and with the client specifications.
- Non-Essential Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required by Management.
- Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals aligned with department and organizational objective.
- Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.
- Should be open to travel as per business needs.
- Supervisory Responsibilities This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

- Tech / B.E or Diploma. in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant drafting experience from similar role
- DESIRED Familiarity with Mechanical industry codes/standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, AISC etc.).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

- Working Conditions This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
- Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.
- Work surface is stable (flat)
