- Job Holder is responsible for performing analysis and testing for determining chemical composition as per standard requirement or technical specification either routine or non-routine samples/requests in accordance with related Azerbaijani regulations, ISO 17025, company policy and international standards. He/She ensures carrying out all aspects of maintenance, calibration, and testing of the lab instruments.
- Prepares chemical reagents, solutions and working standards in accordance with laboratory work instructions;
- Job Holder is custodian for various instruments in the laboratory; other users are trained, good log-book management, all maintenance records are available and managed;
- Executes the custodian responsibilities for various instruments with primary maintenance activities and will perform full investigation of broken of non-function equipment before escalating the issues to Instrument Specialist team or supervisors.
- Monitors and verifies condition of assigned instruments,
- performs necessary calibration and performance
- verification of analytical methods to ensure reliability of laboratory analysis, as specified on Work Instructions, Procedures, or maintenance plan;
- Responsible for the shift handover reporting and communication to the following shift b2b.
- Reports and escalates Out of Specification results directly with supervisor/specialist and sample-requestors;
- Maintains effective day-to-day communication with Laboratory management for all routine samples;
- Assists with establishing and implementing the laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with Laboratory Management System and the requirements of the ISO 17025;
- Reads, understands, and updates Laboratory documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, analytical equipment's operations manuals, etc., related to laboratory operations;
- Systematically registers received samples in LIMS;
- Executes the work within the Laboratory Quality Assurance protocols/instructions;
- Executes the work for all related HSE safety regulations for High Pressure and sour activities contributes to safety culture and keeps the work-processes and practices up to date; shall be aware of Chemical Hazard of materials being handled inside the Laboratory:
- Develops procedures, work instructions, programs, or any specific activities report or dedicated instruction that are related to own section, and coordinated correct implementations within own section;
- Executes good housekeeping for the relevant laboratory sections and areas including chemical waste management, HSE issues, and utility services provision;
- Execution of the sample & analysis plan for the team, consisting of process utility streams, environmental waste streams, export products and intermediate streams, to provide quality and timely measurements and the associated environmental waste product and export product quality certification within the team;
- Reviews results and trend observations following QA/QC compliance requirements;
- Registers, enters, reports the results of routine samples in LIMS. Ensures that all records are maintained in both the hard and electronic copies and that all documentation is completed accurately;
- Participates in maintenance activities of equipment in accordance with laboratory work instructions, verification, calibration and maintenance plans;
- Reports to supervisor updated information on status of instruments/equipment's and timely communicate any instrument failure or eventual shortage of spares parts, consumable, reagents,
- Job Holder is responsible for adequate use of tools and glassware, handle samples and laboratory equipment;
- Participates in development of laboratory analyses work instructions, audits, reviews and log-books ensuring validity and optimization;
- Comply with all company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices;
- Report to Laboratory Supervisor and Lab Specialists of owns section;
Xüsusi tələblər
- Preferably high school but also university degree acceptable with Chemistry, Oil and Gas, Petroleum, Science background;
- Minimum 0-1-year overall experience in refinery laboratories, oil and gas laboratories, environmental laboratories;
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to make presentations and write effective reports;
- Ability to work in team environments, communicate, understand, and work within the dynamics of a multi-functional and multi-location environment;
- Pleasant personality and ability to listen & influence personnel not directly under his/her responsibility;
- Capacity to integrate within an international and national workforce;
- Strong commitment to safety;
- Hands on experience in operating, calibrating, and maintaining state of the art of various laboratory equipment's to their own section;
- Knowledge in international and state standard test procedures such as ASTM, IP, UOP, APHA, ISO, GOST;
- Knowledge and skills in testing of petroleum and/or, water and/or, microbiology testing equipment, related to analysis of Crude oil, naphtha, diesel, lube oils, gaseous samples, water-based samples are essential; based on their assigned sections;
- Experience in operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment;
- Demonstrates analytical skills;
