- Leads Mechanical Engineering activities for Greenfield and Brownfield Offshore Projects, ensuring technical requirements (e.g., project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project requirements and standards to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule;
- ITT document review, Prepare TQs, Technical inputs and man-hour estimates/CTRs for proposals;
- Preparation/review of technical queries, and active participation in the stage of data gathering from Clients;
- Conceptual development of project scope; Development of initial design calculations and preparation of conceptual diagrams;
- Selection and implementation of correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new projects and designs and/or improvements for existing designs;
- Provide clear guidance to the Mechanical team on facilitate issues resolution to ensure compliance with project objectives and milestones;
- Provide engineering surveillance of FEED and Detailed Design phase Mechanical deliverables. Monitor and maintain Mechanical Engineering schedule and progress.
- Ensure Mechanical engineering activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and approved qualifications, if any. Accountable for a quality design of Mechanical engineering deliverables, including design safety and execution planning;
- Drive work execution, ensuring technical alignment and quality with various disciplines stakeholders from both Client and Vendors. Provide guidance to complete Mechanical design per project specifications in a timely manner and provides clear direction when project instructions or specifications are not clear;
- Drive Contractors to develop plans and work schedules that ensure effective completion of project activities and provide data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays for monthly progress and stewardship reporting;
- Support multi-discipline activities providing Mechanical expertise to other disciplines as necessary, in support of completing activities within schedule and making appropriate recommendations to management on Mechanical issues;
- Key effort to support interfacing between key vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and execution objectives are satisfied;
- Provides Mechanical engineering support in all project workshops and reviews;
- Prepares high quality written documents and makes effective oral presentations;
- Develops safe, fit-for-purpose technical solutions that meet the intent of project requirements.
Xüsusi tələblər
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Mechanical discipline, having broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations;
- Experience in Oil & Gas Facilities, especially offshore facilities;
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of other engineering disciplines while providing proactive leadership on all interdisciplinary design coordination efforts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with supervisory experience.
