• Ensuring planned engineering (mechanical and piping) progress with respect to the engineering deliverables for Tenders (as required) and awarded Projects, engineering planning & scheduling, preparation of progress reports, manpower & resource forecasts, time schedules of engineers, utilization of resources effectively & efficiently.
• Ensuring proper division of work & responsibility among the engineers, provision of proper guidance & integration of work done, ensuring good, positive & healthy working nature among the team of engineers to ensure optimum productivity & efficiency.
• Provision of Mechanical and Piping Design for FEED, Basic & Detail Engineering including Process and Utilities Systems, performing mechanical and piping 3D modelling, studies and analysis, design calculations etc. for Tenders (as required) and for awarded Projects.
• Preparation/review of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Mechanical Equipment and Piping Layouts, General Arrangements, Equipment Datasheets and Specifications, MTOs and BOQs etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines.
• Review of Clients tender documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations.
• Preparation & Issue of RFQ’s, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.
• Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations

• Bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical and piping engineering or related field
• Membership of an associated professional body with Chartered status is preferred
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical and piping engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Conversant with relevant international and local standards and Codes or Practice
• Proficient in the use of computer analysis software (e.g. E3D, Plant 3D, Caesar, AutoCAD MEP, CAD or AutoCAD)
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills in EN, AZ
