Lead, manage, and develop the Commercial & Economic Evaluation Group, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and professional growth within the team;
Identification of areas of process risks and improvement opportunities. Development and implementation of improvement plans;
Taking charge of commercial area development framework processing;
Representing the Company in formal committees and other meetings where planning, evaluation and decisions related to the management of assets involved;
Have coordinating role in ensuring that all representatives of the Company are prepared and aligned and speak the Company in external meetings and working groups;
Partner negotiations, evaluation risks and opportunities;
Conduct one-on-one meetings and performance management appraisals for team members to support their development;
Lead and supervise the Commercial group activities;
Prepare the Group responsibility assignment structure, and split the group responsibilities between the team members;
Ensure development, sharing and maintaining the core expertise in the team;
Work with the team on commercial parts of Operating Agreements;
Lead preparation of new economic models for Select Stage projects and ensure development of economic modelling capabilities within the team;
Support the business negotiations process, including preparation of MOUs, Heads of Agreement, and other commercial agreements;
Supervise and support planning and performance reporting process, work together with Planning and Economic Evaluation Team;
Support the projects on SOCAR Corporate Investment planning process;
Lead the commercial agenda of Umid, Absheron and if required of other projects;
Coach team members on modelling and Commercial Agreements;
Coach the team members on Commercial Operations issues of Oil and Gas projects;
Ensure the smooth & timely implementation of team deliverables.

University Degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering;
MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry, including 4-5 years in managerial positions;
Direct experience in economic modelling, commercial support, business development, and joint venture (JV) management activities;
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching and developing team members;
Expertise in economic modelling, financial evaluation, and project feasibility analysis;
Strong analytical skills and experience in identifying process risks and opportunities for improvement;
Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage risks and identify business opportunities;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Azerbaijani, English and other languages.
