Vakansiyanın detalları

Vakansiyanın təsviri

Survey Design & Planning

  • Design 2D and 3D seismic acquisition programs, including geometry optimization, receiver/shot spacing, and offset and azimuth analysis
  • Prepare survey design reports, acquisition parameters, and Basis of Design (BoD) documents for project approval
  • Conduct feasibility studies and forward modeling to optimize survey parameters relative to geological targets
  • Coordinate with processing and interpretation teams to ensure acquisition parameters support upstream workflow requirements

Field Operations & Supervision

  • Supervise seismic crews (land, transition zone, and marine) throughout active acquisition campaigns
  • Act as the primary client representative on site, monitoring contractor performance against contractual KPIs and production targets
  • Oversee positioning systems (GNSS/DGPS), energy source operations (vibroseis, dynamite, air guns), and receiver array deployment
  • Monitor real-time QC of field records using industry-standard software (e.g., Omega, etc.)
  • Identify and resolve operational issues relating to noise, coupling, equipment malfunction, and environmental constraints

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Review and evaluate contractor technical proposals and equipment specifications during the tender process
  • Participate in bid evaluations and technical contract negotiations
  • Monitor daily production reports and ensure adherence to program schedules and approved budgets
  • Manage subcontractor relationships covering positioning, HSE, and logistics services

HSE & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with company HSE standards, local Azerbaijani regulations, and international best practices (IAGC guidelines)
  • Conduct pre-mobilization HSE audits and participate in HAZID/HAZOP workshops
  • Investigate near-misses and incidents; implement and track corrective actions to closure
  • Coordinate environmental impact assessments and permitting requirements for acquisition programs

Data Quality Control

  • Implement and enforce field QC procedures for raw shot records, navigation data, and observer logs
  • Review and approve daily field data packages and first-break QC reports
  • Ensure proper data labeling, archiving, and structured handovers to processing teams

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare acquisition progress reports, end-of-survey technical reports, and lessons-learned documentation
  • Maintain accurate field logs, observer reports, and equipment records throughout the campaign
  • Provide technical input for management presentations, project reviews, and partner reporting

Xüsusi tələblər

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geophysics, Physics, Applied Earth Sciences, or a closely related technical field
  • Minimum 8-12 years of progressive experience in seismic acquisition operations
  • Proven track record of seismic onboard processing, observer, or client representative on land and/or marine surveys
  • Experience with both 2D and 3D acquisition programs; transition zone and OBN/OBC experience is a strong advantage
  • Prior work in Caspian or Central Asian operational environments is preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in survey design software (e.g., Norsar, SeisOpt, Omni, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of seismic instrumentation: SERCEL, Fairfield Nodal, or equivalent systems
  • Familiarity with positioning systems, QC workflows, and observer reporting standards
  • Working knowledge of seismic data processing workflows and how acquisition parameters influence processing and imaging outcomes
  • Understanding of near-surface challenges including statics, multiples, and common noise sources

Leadership & Communication

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capability in multicultural, remote field environments
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills for interfacing with contractors, senior management, and government authorities
  • Ability to operate under operational pressure and resolve complex field problems in real time
  • Willingness to undertake field rotations, including offshore assignments
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Azerbaijani or Russian is a significant advantage

Preferred Certifications

  • BOSIET / HUET - Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training
  • IAGC Safety Training or equivalent HSE certification
  • First Aid / Emergency Response certification
