Ensure 24/7 uptime, security, and high performance of Oracle and SQL Server databases
Manage installation, configuration, patching, backups, restoration, and upgrades
Monitor and optimize database performance using relevant tools and techniques
Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and high availability (HA) strategies
Maintain data integrity, security policies, and access controls
Collaborate with application developers and IT teams to support project needs
Participate in audit processes, including compliance and license management
Provide mentorship and support to junior DBAs and team members
Develop and maintain database documentation, policies, and standards
Implement data migration, data archiving, and ETL processes
Utilize automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) to streamline administrative tasks
Monitor using tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio, or 3rd-party solutions (e.g., SolarWinds, RedGate)
·Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in on-premise and cloud environments
Participate in DevOps pipelines and CI/CD database integration (optional but valuable)

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
Minimum 5 years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server
Expertise in high availability, replication, and backup/restore strategies (e.g., RMAN, Data Guard, AlwaysOn)
Hands-on experience with ETL tools, SSIS, SSRS, and database scripting
Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and basic shell scripting
Experience in cloud database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, Amazon RDS/Aurora, OCI) is a strong plus
Knowledge of monitoring, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices
Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Azure DBA Associate are preferred
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and cross-functional teams preferredExcellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
