Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
To become fully familiar with the status of guest luggage, messages, deliveries, requests, guest arrivals, limo transfers, pre-booked taxi’s, banqueting functions etc at the beginning of each shift and handover to following shift.
To provide all information quickly and efficiently as requested by guests and accurately confirm details only by using the appropriate hotel stationery eg. Restaurant confirmation cards sent to the guest room.
To ensure that the hotel main entrance doors are being opened and closed for guests/patrons entering and leaving the building.
To assist Reception with room escorts during busy periods, while ensuring sufficient coverage on the desk.
To provide direction and guidance in the form of a liaison for arriving guests/patrons, ensuring that appropriate direction is given where necessary
To ensure that luggage delivery is completed to standard in regards to timings and placement in the room
To ensure the lobby is tidy at all times (carpet runner, main entrance glass doors, cushions, etc), either through available staff or personally.
To recognise regular guests whenever possible, using their name, and ensure that other employees are made aware of who these guests are.
To keep a sense of security and be aware of left parcels, bags, strange behaviour, reporting immediately to Security.
